Busy- busyhan kasi! Blog update part 1

It's been 4 months since the last time I updated my blog. I've been busy with work and SFC lately that I don't have enough time to post updates. Since I'm on a 10 day vacation that started last saturday, I'll post part 1 of the blog update series. heheheh.. Let's start with the month of August and September.

  • I turned 27 last August 14 and the first thing I did was to renew my driver's license. The guards at the LTO were giving me a hard time because they said that I can't renew my license because I only have a temporary license and some other crap. Fortunately I was able to talk to an officer and I was able to renew my license. Unfortunately, I just lost (again!) my driver's license a few days ago inside the car! I haven't checked the car yet so I don't know if it is really missing or I just misplaced it.

  • The Couples for Christ (CFC) community declared a split last August (the memo was released last August 14, my birthday!) forming 2 groups: CFC- Global Mission Foundation Inc, lead by the International Council and CFC- Foundation for Family and Life(FFL) lead by Tito Frank Padilla, former director of CFC. It’s really sad to know that one of the leaders who founded GK is now against it. And it’s really sad that a most of our members in Laguna joined FFL.

  • The Theunion August birthday celebrants (me, Kim and Ernest) celebrated at Ernest’s home. Carlo gifted me with a board game similar to Pictionary, called Cranium and we played it. It was a blast since it’s not the normal eat-out-and-roam-inside-the-mall kind of thing and it really brought out our funny and silly side.

  • DLSU lost 3 out of the 5 games against ADMU. But what's important for us was we defeated the Ateneans on the most crucial games: battle for the number 2 in the standings and the right to face UE, who had a rare 14-0 record in the elims, in the finals game. Special thanks to NU players who played their hearts out during their 2nd round match against ADMU and defeated them in OT (forgot the score), giving us an opportunity to battle it out for the number 2 slot. Yey!

  • A month after the split, the SFC Laguna Community gathered for our monthly Provincial Leaders Assembly (PLA). It’s a really sad reality that only a few people stayed with the IC. It maybe God’s way of saying we have to go back to basics and focus on each members spirituality before encouraging others who were not yet in the community to join SFC.
I’m already sleepy so I’ll just post additional updates in the next few days. Till then..
